"Gosh it blows a gale here! We landed in a hail storm yesterday, but were treated to beautiful sunshine as we left the plane."
It's all systems go on the NFA's #FalklandsTrekChallenge! Yesterday saw the group visit Fitzroy, where the Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram were bombed on 8th June 1982. The attack resulted in large losses to the Welsh Guards. Former Welsh Guardsman, Al Roberts (pictured), paid his respects at the memorial.
Today the trek commences and the group will travel 13.5 miles from Port San Carlos to New House. Let's hope that the weather holds!
